In addition, Thomas has been named a 2016 NAIA Men&#8217;s Indoor Track &amp; Field All-American.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/navajopeople.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_2984.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3496\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3496\" src=\"http:\/\/navajopeople.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_2984.jpg\" alt=\"Jackson Thomas, Navajo, of Naschitti, New Mexico\" width=\"558\" height=\"700\" srcset=\"http:\/\/navajopeople.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_2984.jpg 558w, http:\/\/navajopeople.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_2984-239x300.jpg 239w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 558px) 100vw, 558px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Thomas took the national title for the Indoor Track Mile with a time of 4 minutes, 16.31 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a huge upset as he was ranked 7th going in,\u201d said Coach Clay Mayes III. \u201cIt came down to the final lap, with the number one ranked guy leading it. Jackson pulled up in the final straight to pass him with 30 meters to go.
